Review: Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Review: Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Like it or not, accept it or not accept, Avengers: Age of Ultron event like World Cup fever is infecting everyone. This film brings back the Marvel superhero previously successful with each movie: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, plus who do not have their own films such as Hawkeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury. Moreover, their first meeting in The Avengers (2012) a great success. With a history like that, do not be surprised if Marvel would like to present a larger, more crowded and more intense in this second meeting.

Special defense agencies S.H.I.E.L.D. has collapsed, Avengers superhero team must now fight harder to save the earth. One of the first things they do is reclaim the Scepter, magic stones captured from Loki (Tom Hiddleston played, in the movie The Avengers) and stored SHIELD, which eventually belong HYDRA (can be seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier). They do not know, there is a great plan behind this thing.

Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) with Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) tried to pry the secret behind this stone, which was able to build a component of artificial intelligence (artificial intelligence) that are smarter than humans. At first, Stark wants to use it to build a robot army protective earth, so that superheroes do not need to work too hard. However, artificial intelligence that actually gave birth Ultron (voiced James Spader), who had a will of its own, and it will not be beneficial to mankind. On the other hand, the actions of Stark and Banner build artificial intelligence without the say-say, causing the seeds split in the Avengers team.

The height of the superhero is the thing that makes the always anticipated Avengers movie. Where else can see the action of the superhero with different abilities to act together to save the earth. The good, the writer and director Joss Whedon knows how to showcase the action and personalities of each superhero with a fair portion and its precise timing. This is evident in The Avengers, and the back is shown in the Age of Ultron, that in fact the number of characters increases. In addition to the superhero mentioned above (plus Ultron), the film also features the figure of powerful new, like the twins Maximoff, Pietro aka Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Wanda aka Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), there is also a friend of Iron Man, War Machine (Don Cheadle), also the emergence of The Vision (Paul Bettany) -which zoom designed very gracefully.

If the superhero to have to come together, there must be something very big and precarious. When The Avengers first bring enemies from another dimension, then the Age of Ultron displays enemy created by humans (members Avenger) itself, even if the stakes keep the integrity of the earth. How strong to be resisted by Ultron up to 10 superheroes (including Hulk), it is rather tricky to tell. To be sure, Ultron is a realization in the form of software, could pave the data around the world, it is easy to move "the body", while capable of producing sophisticated robot army (to continue what was done Stark). This robot forces may be easily defeated, but their numbers are endless indeed quite a nuisance.

Age of Ultron can be called a dark version of The Avengers, or other Marvel superhero movies. In addition to the talk about the survival of mankind (The Avengers first just wanted the earth remains intact), the film is also trying to bring the deepest fears of our superhero. However, Age of Ultron not even be a dish that is moody and depressed. Whedon still able to embed intelligent humor here and there, both of which can cause immediate laughter, as well as those relating to referral previous Marvel movies. In fact, the figure itself is created by Ultron witty personality, with dialogue and behavior that may polahnya figures reminiscent of the Disney animated antagonist (eg, Scar in The Lion King or Hades in Hercules). The most distinctive element of fun Marvel not maintained here.

On the other hand, if the film is intended as a more crowded, larger, and more powerful than the previous Avengers, Age of Ultron may not meet all of it. More crowded and bigger it is true, but not necessarily more intense. The problem is, the crowds and the greatness of this film has been achieved by The Avengers earlier, also through another movie more "small" as Guardians of the Galaxy or Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That the enemy robots seemed still less precarious with the arrival of alien forces from another dimension invade the earth. Even if you want to compare more detail, exposure Quicksilver figures here are still less cool than its appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past-wearing the same character but has nothing to do because it was made by another studio.

But, perhaps it is not the fault Age of Ultron completely. The film was made with the exciting plot, also raises interesting interactions antararakternya although in a limited time, including incorporating elements of drama. Each scene matches made with a neat and lively, aided by sound and visual effects and convenient careful scrutiny. Heroic values of each superhero still able to enjoy. However, as the film is supposed to larger scale of the film other Marvel Age of Ultron no longer se-fresh The Avengers first, not as crazy as binge Guardians of the Galaxy, and not as significant as Captain America: The Winter Soldier-containing disclosure change the state of the entire universe of Marvel films.

And, perhaps the most influence is the Age of Ultron as if just finished an episode intermediary of the continuation of the vision of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which links all the Marvel superhero movie in a big red thread. This film seemed incomplete: the first part shall be assisted by the previous Marvel movies, and the last part will be continued with films Marvel Avengers after-peaking at: Infinity War in 2018 and 2019. If you want to take the positive, Age of Ultron includes some events that might be the background of the events in the Marvel movies to come, though not clear how much influence.

Regardless, Age of Ultron is definitely not a bad movie, did not disappoint. This film is not only able to meet the expectations were already very high since the first success of The Avengers and other Marvel films. Probably not until astounding, but at least this film can still provide entertainment throughout the 2 hours and 20 minutes also did not feel too long.

My score: 7/10

Review: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Review: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Mad Max: Fury Road glance like one more victim of the plague sequels, reboots, spin-offs, and adaptation are still plagued Hollywood. Fury Road is the fourth title of the Mad Max franchise post-apocalyptic action films from Australia, all of which are produced by filmmaker George Miller. Utilizing technological developments and perspectives of today, Miller in fact not just want to repeat past glories through Fury Road, but also create a new definition of the film's action.

The distance between the three previous films with Fury Road is arguably one generation. The first Mad Max movie was released in 1979, Mad Max: The Road Warrior 1981, and Mad Max: Beyond Thuderdome in 1985. It is fair to say that many spectators present generation does not know this franchise, especially in an era full of superhero movies , Transformers, and Fast & Furious. And, indeed there is a fear that those who are less familiar with the Mad Max franchise will be free to approach Fury Road, although already put star names such as Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

However, what was intended in action movies today is still the same as the initial intention of the creation of the series Mad Max: spectacular action scenes featuring a row of adrenaline. In case this is a combined car chase chased the added spice of fist fights and weapons. Moreover, it is also very widely accepted formula audiences the world, whatever the form of the story. Based on that, Fury Road is actually still be enjoyed by a new audience.

This film is basically a sequel to the original trilogy Mad Max, but continuity does not really matter, because the figure of Max Rockatansky itself has been designed as a character that fit in all situations. As well as the James Bond franchise relation to one another film with a very small film, Fury Road could be considered as one more stop from wandering Max, the real survivor on earth that has collapsed and civilization starting from zero again.

Viewers who are familiar with the original trilogy Mad Max has the advantage to know more in the figure of Max, complete with the history and trauma. However, the only known also will not be too lost, because at first glance the background and the figure of Max featured in this film is quite easy to understand-even then the impression penokohannya less intact here. Next, sit and enjoy the journey exciting and brutal of the film, which is sewn to the plot Max (Hardy) helps Furiosa (Theron) fled with the so-called War rig truck across the desert in search of a new life.

With concepts like romp carriage in cowboy films, or war antarkapal in films pirate, Fury Road fairly successfully display the main menu, the excitement high level through a series of battles over modified cars speeding. Moreover scenes arranged matches are very extreme, bold, grazed the limits of logic, and many of which have never been shown in other films. Fury Road feels more refreshing when it is seen that this fim is not "spoiled" in the use of CGI animation effects. Even still there (like a maimed hand the effects of Theron), portions are fairly minimal, subtle, and not dipamer-exhibited, so that it gives a more dramatic impact.

Hard not to be amazed at the technical achievement of Fury Road, especially in the concept and structuring the action scenes, artistic design fields, the arrangement of image composition and colors are very beautiful to look at. Likewise, the wild imagination, ranging from makeup of the characters to use as encouragement war metal guitarist. And, note well, Fury Road is a film that is not much dialogue. Currently thus described, it impressed Fury Road is another trivial and stupid Hollywood movies are important eyes and ears satisfied. However, Miller and his crew proved thoroughly to be able to tell a story containing many layers, even if the film plot seems simple.

For example, the film is effectively gives a fairly complete picture of a civilization (town) named Citadel, which became the starting point of the film's plot. Of class distinctions to the abuse of monopoly power in the form of clean water, Citadel symbolize everything that is wrong of human civilization. Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne) already weak must cover vulnerabilities with masks and clothing that looks solid, for the sake of the illusion that he is a revered figure. Though people just look at it because it takes water. The situation was also causing extremism blind in the form of death squads War Boys, specifically represented Nux (Nicholas Hoult), who would do anything to be "considered" by Immortan Joe promising heaven (here called Valhalla) and free them from suffering worldly.

Not just from the looks, Immortan Joe also complement the illusion of power by assuming only keturunannyalah can live decent. He uses a lot of women-with the best properties is not blameless-a subsidiary factories. Although it turned out many of the children born with defects, either because the radiation effects of nuclear war, or indeed the gene itself was not as good as he thought. Loopholes is then utilized by Furiosa, also Max, to finally rebelled against the repression carried Immortan Joe.

However, the most interesting thing of Fury Road is the strong theme about women. Not just any figure Furiosa tough (and extremely ferocious played by Theron) and a mighty gang consisting of women dusk, not only symbolized of pregnancy some characters. A scene shows the seeds of plants that are kept and cared for by women, which will be cultivated in the right place. This film raised the woman as the forerunner of civilization, in contrast to the treatment of Immortan Joe to women as possessions (including his wife who were given clothes exploitative).

In the case of film (secretly) had the mission of empowering women, Fury Road was a step further than just women could win fights. Here, women also become agents of change. It is a statement that makes Fury Road so more special, especially as the film genre even more popular with the men-some of which will probably be happy just to dress the wives Immortan Joe without wanting to know the reason behind it.

Admirable, all the content can fit in a high-intensity action film lasted only 120 minutes, and the portion that is not much dialogue. Fury Road has become one of the successful examples of films that made the dish very entertaining, but do not fool the audience. From the theme, story, also the packaging, the film is worked out as a spectacle that does not require the audience a lot to think, but if you want to think even this film has a wealth that can be extracted, more than just speeding and noisy battle.

My score: 8/10

Review: Tomorrowland (2015)

Review: Tomorrowland (2015)

Tomorrowland movie from the beginning to make people exasperated because of its promotion of the all mysterious, even the trailer and the synopsis does not help at all. Though labeled a Disney film which is usually light and fun and easy to digest for the whole family. Tomorrowland itself was still a "Disney movie" which is how sophisticated its action and adventure remains a family-oriented, but it is also true that this film is designed like a mysterious works of the writer, Damon Lindelof (Lost series, Prometheus).

After watching, first of all, I admit I was intrigued at the concept and idea would be submitted. This film is about how human effort to realize his dream of a better future, but always obstructed by another man happy nature damage and devastated the dream anyway. Then dreamers and inventors that make Tomorrowland, a city in another dimension that is already ahead of the world "we" now because they do not ridden political interest and gross human motivation. Then there were as many now are "scare" about the bleak future of humans - including films post-apocalytic, but there is one man who remains optimistic wants to change it so much the better. Big ideas are sufficiently conveyed well in this movie.

Plot of the film itself is actually as simple as a teenage boy (who looks old = p) "elected" to find a way to Tomorrowland though not know also why he should go there. For that he must be assisted by a little girl who is not a girl and not small (?) And an uncle who was never to Tomorrowland but were driven back to the earth, because as beautiful-beautiful dream when he was small, it all fell apart when he "see the world" and know what it is bitterness and disappointment. But still, the reason why they have to go there and do keep bothering me. Well, as it turns out that the mystery was revealed at the end of the movie.

Anyway, all I'm trying to say is, I do not understand the true intent and purpose of the overall film, hahaha. Kayak exist in various layers of the story, but I caught just a little. Fortunately it has included its love story that does not feel awkward reasonable read CLAMP manga. But, I think I can not catch it thoroughly. Perhaps the point is no one party that wants to let man reach for one's own demise while others build something new, and there are others who want to prevent it for the common good. I think anyway, but do not know deh also it does so or baseball. Even the ending of this movie I'm still unsure whether I bener estimates that it is indeed meant so * avoid spoilers * * gak *. There is a feeling prop when absorb what I had seen. This film is like a clumsy between want fun or want to absurd. Maybe there is not so good Disney movie, because it is rather difficult to digest point. But I can not help anymore, just the title is taken from Disneyland rides.

But, as a spectacle, I do not hesitate to say that this Tomorrowland entertaining. Brad Bird directing style that does not talk much fun it remains to be seen (probably doi influence was wide animation director of The Incredibles and Ratatouille many languages use images), his action was laid out okay - absurd but okay anyway, and visualization cities Tomorrowland- Her cause admiration, cause I was really looking forward to the future world could be like that. Saucy pictures seen, I myself watched in IMAX and the film fits in the format. So overall, though not a hundred percent satisfied, I still feel watching Tomorrowland it worth my money, and values that would be submitted also relevant and could I receive. A strange way (but somewhat cutting edge) to spread hope and optimism, but let's just say I would rather feed the good wolf, so I want to absorb the fine of the film.

My score: 7/10

Review: Inside Out (2015)

inside-out

Pixar comes back with ambitious animation project. This time, they came back with a film called Inside Out, a project that worked for 5 years with director Pete Docter and co-director Ronnie del Carmen.

This film tells the story of Joy (Happiness; voiced by Amy Poehler), Sadness (Sad; sound by Phyllis Smith), Anger (Angry; sound by Lewis Black), Disgust (Disgusted; Mindy Kaling) and Fear (Fear; Bill Hader), five basic human emotions, which is in the mind Riley Anderson (voice by Kaitlyn Dias), a girl aged 11 years. Growing and maturing is not an easy experience, as well as for Riley, who at the age of puberty should be moved with his family to San Francisco when his father moved the task. In these difficult times, Joy, were mostly set mind Riley, inadvertently sucked along Sadness enter into long term memory Riley and must find a way to get back to the headquarters, where Joy and his friends control the mind Riley. Meanwhile, all the new things that make Riley shocked and did not get used, giving rise to a situation which is far more difficult than imagined for himself and also for Anger, Disgust and Fear, who suddenly have to run the headquarters without Joy (and also Sadness).

Research very detailed and well thought out concept very carefully indeed produce a work that will not be easily forgotten. Similarly, the Inside Out. All that is in this film to work with and very good synergy. The voice managed to bring the souls of the characters (which is a wide variety of emotions) be alive and in accordance with what was to be delivered at every moment in the film. Each element in this film has a psychological significance and role with regard to the course of the film's story, from the color, lighting, camera angles, shapes to music. The story is very flowing and dialogues full of humor at the same intelligence-dialogues are not native said, but it can make us come to think further. Animation also looks very good and quality, as we know from Pixar in general.

Although this film is an animated film that is generally associated with children's films, there is a big difference compared to the Inside Out had animated films in general: the film can be enjoyed and appreciated more precisely with age audience. Of course, children will still be able to enjoy this film with characters who live and its setting which is the mind of a child, but the experience of watching this movie will actually even more striking and leave their mark on the adult audience; viewers who generally understand fundamentally what it is about memory and how the brain works as well as the system-of course-had more experience the bittersweet life.

I will not divulge much more, because it is precisely the experience of the most exciting and fun of the film is as minimal as possible when you know about the movie itself. I myself thus: I came to the cinema just to watch the trailer armed with knowledge of the extent to which incidentally played in the cinema when I want to watch another movie. Only one thing you need to know so you are sure that the film is necessary and should be watched: the film is brilliant and will take you on an emotional journey. Please assault your favorite movies with friends, family and relatives, because it is a pity if the film is not to be missed.

Jurassic World (2015)

I actually do not know what expects to be at Jurassic World. Jurassic Park in 1993 was a great movie (and I admit very nice although not favorite), but any attempt to make a sequel, it's always a bit Shining. Maybe that makes a rather exciting is in this movie, amusement park and zoo eventually ancestral beings operate and open to the public ... somehow. Despite everything that happened in Jurassic Park and The Lost World, you know, the dino off and go ballistic. Yea, I guess the idea is rather dumb, already know that dinosaurs so yes still make cloned and make entertainment park. But, perhaps the name of man was never learn, so we often hear the expression that history often repeats itself.

So yes it is, Jurassic World is back on the premise of humans trying to make anything you want made and it had to face the fact that not all of it is under the control of man. From the plot also actually somewhat similar to the films precursor, which is the same human being terrorized by wild animals but also human beings essentially wrong. Even if say Jurassic World repetition of this kind of Jurassic Park, but in a somewhat different situation, ie when its park was completely finished.

Well, that's what made me make this film interesting. This film story is already 20 years since the first film, and that now everyone already knows dinosaurs can be turned on again use cloning technology and mixed genes of other animals, the garden was already rich to Taman Safari fitting school holidays only. It seems like all familiar, even forget that these animals are very fascinating and at a certain point, dangerous. So in this film there is a kind of two attitudes, there is a * little * still feel amazed, but more that come on just ordinary - and perhaps, it is also the same two kinds of attitudes audience this film, hehehe.

It kind of reflects the film anyway. When the first Jurassic Park make wow and was amazed that "turn on" dinosaur with highly advanced technologies (and still look sophisticated till now), Jurassic World've not had it again, yes because it has been there done that, the technology is also already not groundbreaking anymore , Funnily enough, that was also included in the story, so we come to the "major problem" of this film, Indominus rex, dino the new types of man-made, are made as dino-dino existing ones already too mainstream. An attempt to always make more because people today are easily bored and distracted. Story building, according to me, kinda brilliant, actually, to repeat but remain relevant and smoothly delivered.

But, who became the "star" of the main Jurassic World is not a story or character or also the dino, but the entertainment value of its unusually high. Tension and excitement of dino action vs human here was really dealt with the maximum intensity and presented in the right dose. Tense and exciting crazy! It's been a while I talk dirty until lift-lift legs because know there are dangerous creatures lurking characters on the screen, and substantially all of the action of the dino carnivores were always threatening on the blind-spot her man though already spelled "benign ". And, pretty matters for me is the film is not a lot the night scene, but still managed to build the "horror" that kick * This is actually because I wrote a timid *. This film smoothly even disguising elements with classy bloody. I dare say, even if the film is less than the value of originality and wonder of Jurassic Park first, but the thrill of his very able pitted, really. Scene "soccer" and fight climax is also very killer.

In short, Jurassic World easily be one of the best experiences for me to the movies this year. All the plot predictability, as well as comic characters (good contrived cool, evil contrived sucks) I could easily dispose of because the whole movie offerings are fun and very exciting and makes me pull out genuine reactions were rare I spend. According to me, this is should be appreciated, because how can you top THE THE Jurassic Park by Steven Spielberg? This film with very good answer, while still pay a visit to its predecessor. Perhaps not a movie that tore the mind in such a way, but the important outstanding entertaining. So cool!

Terminator Genisys (2015)

One thing that is actually embarrassing: I've never watched a single movie Terminator intact. Yeah, you know, his films often appear on TV, but somehow I only know bits and pieces of this franchise, remember some of the scenes and just recall the outline wrote. This is what is worrying me when watching Terminator Genisys, scared I did not know in detail about what the film said this sequel but a reboot. Well, fortunately I'm not alone. You see, that makes the film also seems confused as to what the film not contrived.

He does want to take advantage of the theory of the film travel across time to create a new story in alternate time dimension, kind of Star Trek 2009 version so. So the series Terminator own premises war between Skynet smart machines named opponent mankind left the leadership of John Connor. Then because in theory change the past can cause effects to the future, Skynet send a killing machine (terminator) to the past to undo the birth of John, but John also send the name Kyle Reese Skynet efforts to prevent it. If not wrong in Terminator 2: Judgment Day is also the premise is the same, only John sent a robot (which is set to be good terminator) instead of people. So this series is a race of sending people / robots into the past to change the future.

I think just the concept of sending the race was eventually arrested at Genisys. Who knows how to do, made this film with the first story-ahead to prevent the birth of John or the emergence of Skynet. This film follows the journey of Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), the mother of John who was single, of the execution of the terminator. Turns out he entered a time dimension "wrong", because previously there terminator sent to kill Sarah small-1970s, but the terminator was successfully eradicated the terminator T-800 that is already programmed so well (Arnold Schwarzenegger), which was derived from the time dimension "true" then prepare her to protect themselves from attack terminator in the future and so on and so forth.

The point is Kyle no longer need to protect Sarah but yes how else would've already met and without Kyle would not exist John also * The "spoiler" of the first Terminator movie *. Then Sarah and the terminator called Pops was ready to make the mission of preventing the birth of Skynet to jump to 1997, the which is the date of nuclear holocaust carried Skynet in the dimension of time the "original", but for some reason unknown to anyone , probably because I'm stupid or just what makes the film so, move to the end of the world by 2017.

I mean, what the hell? I was really needed time to make sense of the concept of time-travel and alternate dimensions of time and the butterfly effect and the students, who took his time to his own originals. Throughout the film I was just thinking how does this mean? Already change the past (which Sarah was a child) but I still think the future will still be in accordance with the dimension of time right? Was really gambling that takes time. And how they can be sure of the time to move into the future that it was in the time dimension "right", if you already know that the delegates themselves or anytime Skynet can be sent to any time to change the past? The trigger end of the world continues to move 20-year-old what? And that according to me is how the lazy writing Kyle could suddenly have memories of a time dimension that he was going to, just let the film is not too busy to find out it was, let me quickly. Oh yeah, do not get me started with the appearance of John Connor in 2017 are just as confusing (or intentionally withheld) with the emergence of Pops when Sarah was young: how can be sure that the time dimension version of it?

Finally, all the fun-appeal and visual effects are quite okay (okay, not really if the specials for the size of Hollywood) that is displayed on the screen so it is less subject to its meaning because of the attention I was already "compromised" the same story that the film is not good logic. It was left that I can enjoy from this film are some of the visual system that was cool - especially scenes involving MRI and all the hybrid human-robot-that-he-twist-but-already-demolished-in-and-posters -trailer, his chase scene that should really, war in the beginning of the film is also cool, plus some humor and homage to the original films are so-so. But, yes how, stories headache because the basic concept is reckless.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015)

With response and box office results varied, espionage film franchise Mission: Impossible widescreen version ultimately survive up to 19 years. This year, dirilislah latest film, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, which still starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt powerful agent for the fifth time. Interestingly, the film was finally brave Christopher McQuarrie to no longer focus on the figure of Ethan's story alone. This film became relatively closest to the basic concepts of his TV series first.

If traced back, four films Mission: Impossible former is more widely panned Ethan figure as the main protagonist and driving everything. He is the motor with the planning and implementation, including the most dangerous actions. So that, even if he leads a team of highly skilled spy, he was so impressed that the hero and the only hope-perhaps because this character is played by Cruise a superstar.

This trend is somewhat deviated from the concept of Mission: Impossible TV version from 1967, which prefers teamwork, that the success of the mission does not depend on one person. In a wide-screen version, the values of the team was just beginning to be felt in Mission: Impossible III (2006) and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011). However, the second story of the film is still centered on Ethan, to bring out the personal life that also dragged in her life as a spy.

Rogue Nation becomes more refreshing because the plot of the film is no longer centered on Ethan personally, although he remains the main hero. McQuarrie co-wrote the screenplay seemed to think the audience already familiar with Ethan personally for almost 20 years, so it's time to move on and let Ethan and his team concentrate on the mission. And, this is what makes the story Rogue Nation building becomes more flexible in battle and intrigue highlight good against evil, without the burden that everything must be associated with personal Ethan. Now, Ethan encouragement for pure action concerning world peace.

As a result of secret missions undertaken a major impact IMF (Impossible Mission Force), the US government finally freeze this secret organization, and all operations transferred to the intelligence agency CIA, as demanded by the director Alan Hunley (Alec Baldwin). In fact, it is precisely at this moment the best IMF agent Ethan Hunt has a strong hint of the existence of Syndicate, a dark organization that the mastermind terrorist incidents of high class without being detected at various places in the world. Knowing the IMF freezing of agent William Brandt (Jeremy Renner), Ethan rebelled and became a fugitive CIA.

Six months since IMF suspended, Ethan found a way to contact his colleague from the IMF, Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) to help investigate more about Syndicate, starting from an attempted assassination of the Austrian chancellor in Vienna. However, at the same time Ethan met also with Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), a British secret agent who is now close to Solomon Lane (Sean Harris), which is referred to as the leader of the Syndicate. Ethan and Benji were trying to dismantle the Syndicate through Ilsa, though not entirely sure the woman was on which side.

In the visible, Rogue Nation is regarded as one of Hollywood blockbuster movies that should not be missed simply because this is a Hollywood blockbuster movie. Moreover, this film starring Cruise and the movie of the famous franchise. Plus, the film is penetrated many international elements, such as the shooting in Morocco, the UK, Austria, until he called Jakarta in dialogue and opera set in ancient China-may be related to Rogue Nation produced Paramount joint production home from China, Alibaba Pictures.

Rogue Nation itself was actually quite meet expectations. Almost every action scenes in this film can leave a distinctive impression. Starting from Ethan hung on the plane that took off, speeding in Morocco, to the computer intrusion in the water, which worked neatly and incur the effects of suspense. Moreover, most of the action scenes in the film is executed by not fully rely on CGI, so it looks more convincing. And, fortunately, McQuarrie and his team's showing scenes in the right dose, fantastic but not over-the-top, and in accordance with the principle of the IMF as an organization that operates in secret.

However, Rogue Nation is not only excel there. As mentioned previously, Rogue Nation can be regarded as the film Mission: Impossible most equitable sharing of the portion of the characters. Although Ethan was put forward, this film provides an opportunity for Benji, William, also Luther (Ving Rhames, the only surviving cast members from the first film in addition to Cruise) to appear in a significant portion of the personality of each. The new figures like Ilsa, Hunley, and Solomon successfully presented with a strong presence, played by actors with strong character as well.

Compactness performance of the players helped reinforce the narrative story. Without disclosures are too manipulative, Rogue Nation spoken with the right rhythm. This film could be soluble in political discussions about secret government operations and also Syndicate against capitalism, but the film still focused primary mission of Ethan and his team in subdued Syndicate. Structuring scenes Rogue Nation also includes classy, even poetic. This film is not crammed with a lot of dialogue, but the scenes were shown able to talk effectively, without the need for lengthy explanations.

One of the most obvious evidence is the scene of attempted murder in the opera house in Vienna, almost without dialogue or even the sound of the mouth. Gestures of the figures laid out in such a way against the background of loud opera music, as if they were also part of the opera. The same was said at the climax, which although not as frenetic previous rounds, but it reinforces the point that Mission: Impossible is the story of a team.

Perhaps somewhat prematurely when a Rogue Nation states are the film Mission: Impossible best. Each film in this franchise made by different directors and in accordance with the demands of his day, so it can be a different way of looking at him. However, one thing is certain, with a strong story, pictures of unsightly (the film is filmed using the medium of celluloid film), and a sound system capable, Rogue Nation managed to present a spectacle classy, exciting, thrilling, occasionally funny, and also respect against the basic concept of this franchise.

My score: 8/10

Fantastic Four (2015)

In 2005, when the adaptation of superhero comics began to pick up again in Hollywood, Marvel Comics in collaboration with studio 20th Century Fox produce a movie about a superhero team, the Fantastic Four. Replacing stars Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffud, Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans, the film director Tim Story was drafted quite comical, with elements of fantasy and humor is thick, not too far from the tone version of the comic or cartoon. Not too useless, this film succeed at the box office globally, so as to produce a sequel titled Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), although less could match the achievements of his first film.

A few years later, Marvel already has its own movie studio and produce a successful superhero movies like Iron Man and The Avengers. Fantastic Four, which still "stuck" in Fox's copyright (along with the X-Men franchise), has not been clear outcome after last film less encouraging response. Moreover, Chris Evans who had become Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch has now changed the image into the other Marvel heroes, Captain America. Not lost my mind, Fox and Marvel finally agreed to make a reboot Fantastic Four, by recruiting young director Josh Trank, who previously successfully passed themed superhero movie with found-footage style, Chronicle (2012).

Long ago, the film is described not only repeat the Fantastic Four story from the beginning, but drafted differently, darker, realistic and grounded. In terms of casting the film was put on a relatively young players, namely Miles Teller as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Kate Mara as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), plusToby Kebbell as Victor von Doom (Dr. Doom). Although the name and the power of the same superclass, but the building background and their characters in this new version of the film made different.

The origin of the super powers gained by the character was changed. In the movie version of the comic as well as their predecessors, they are described as researchers and space explorers are exposed to a foreign substance in space. However, in this latest film, they all plotted as a group of researchers who discovered antardimensi engine, and the power they obtained when they go to another dimension.

Reed Richards since childhood was very interested in the manufacture of machine teleportation (movement of objects long distances instantaneously), until finally he and his friend, Ben Grimm was recruited by Dr. Franklin Storm to develop a large-scale teleportation machine antardimensi in leadership institute, which had previously been developed by Victor von Doom. Powered by two sons Storm, Sue and Johnny, five of them managed to make it functioning teleportation machine.

However, this success does not necessarily be celebrated. Institute parties want this experiment taken over by the US government. No thanks hard work they countered, this daring young researchers made themselves the first people who tried the machine and pay a visit to another dimension. Illegal experiments is also a major impact.

Not only makes Victor left behind in the other dimension, they are all exposed to substances foreign energy that makes their body condition is not like a human being again: Reed so bodied elastic like rubber, Johnny bodied smoldering fire, Sue can become invisible, and Ben becomes a monster bodied stone. They eventually became the object of research agencies, even used for defense and security interests of the country. Some are receiving, some are rejected. However, the return of Victor in a barely recognizable form of four former colleagues were forced to act.

Fiddling with the superhero comic story into a film with a more realistic approach does not haram done, especially in Hollywood. X-Men film series and the trilogy The Dark Knight has proven that this approach can still be successful sepert and received unfortunately less successful for Hulk (2003). Fantastic Four caught once that the new version is going to lead to it. Using characters from well-known, this film runs like a drama sci-fi thriller that more highlight on the character and their research as a driver of the plot, rather than their actions as a superhero.

But is it the right approach is applied to the Fantastic Four, is unquestionable. Bright impressions and fun rather difficult to be removed from the Fantastic Four. Not just for those who are already familiar with the comics, cartoons, or films predecessor, but the concept of their own super powers unsuitable for "diseriuskan". Contortionist, fire man, rock man, and man invisible, plus the enemy that can be magic, all of these descriptions are very qualified for a round movie scene and, well, fantastic. When they were all placed in a more realistic environment, there is an impression that the names of the superhero is betrayed by the lifting element of its bright and fun of it.

At the beginning of the film is running, Fantastic Four was successfully demonstrated the concept in question. Slowly the film is to introduce the members who later called the Fantastic Four with earthy like a drama, peppered a bit of humor that works well enough. Then the story was brought to the discovery of a new dimension that might be an answer to the energy crisis of the earth, and culminate in a matter of who has the right to manage it. Only later, the superhero element to enter.

To get there, the film goes well and safe. The problem may be the placement of a new superhero elements entered almost an hour after the film rolling. Plus absence during the action scenes, this section will indeed feel longer than it should.

But, after the superhero element comes in, the film is dipped sharply changed the style, as film-makers regret with what has been presented in the early half that changed his mind. So the story is told in a hurry, even the exploration of new power these people as if digampangkan by leaps "one year later" in a heartbeat. When the first half of this film wants to have a more dramatic approach, eventually part then stuffed with a variety of action scenes, no matter whether the scenes were obviously meant it or not, the important thing is no big scene to vent the "quiet" of the film in the beginning. Changes in these patterns unfortunately very smooth and somewhat forced.

Apart from the chaos behind the scenes-director Trank supposedly at odds with the studios that did not approve the final results of this movie, Fantastic Four new version is indeed in a difficult position to be able to satisfy all parties. For those who are looking for full action movies, this film would be hard pleased. Also for those who enjoy real-realisnya drama worked well, this movie actually ends with a scene of chaos and dialogues are very cliche and ruin the atmosphere, if you do not want to be called embarrassing.

Had this film chose only one pattern-realist drama action entirely or entirely, perhaps this film will be more readily accepted, not least because of its consistency. Somehow respond to this film, which was willing to abandon the elements of fun (and silly) from previous films, but instead ultimately be more ridiculous than the previous ones. If that makes any movie confusion, how the audience?

Ant-Man (2015)

Ant-Man (2015)
RottenTomatoes: 79% | JohanSaysMovie: 4/5

Starring: Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lily
Directed by: Peyton Reed
Genre: Action & Adventure, Drama, Comedy

One thing is clear, Marvel is at the forefront in presenting superhero films, especially with their big project called Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Marvel has so far never failed in giving us the entertainment mainstream hero in a movie theater screen, making anyone who had not fond of comics Marvel Iron Man then so idolized by the Guardian of the Galaxy. In addition, every Marvel movie also has the charm and uniqueness, not least Ant-Man being heist-moviedengan touch family drama. The story about Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), inmates 'repentance' which then must be the new Ant-Man with a mission to help Ant-Man before Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to - EMH, let's say - to save the world. Ant-Man is not a film that really I like personally, but objectively Ant-Man is a pretty good introduction for the audience to recognize the history of Scott Lang to become human ants. Directed by Peyton Reed previously specialists comedy, also starring Paul Rudd that somehow the older the more handsome, Ant-Man is a superhero comedy pretty funny, do not forget to touch the family drama that no previous Marvel movies. Name Ant-Man indeed may sound unconvincing, less cool if compared to other kinds of superhero Captain America or Hulk, but Ant-Man is evidence that the philosophy of 'size does matter' may be true.
